Rangoon Movie Review (3*/5)

- in Bollywood

Rangoon is Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj

Its a story about a love triangle set during World War II (1939-1945).
The film starts with character of Miss Julia (Kangana) committed to a producer Rusi (Saif) falls in love with a soldier (Shahid).

The film supposedly portrays the life and times of Mary Ann Evans aka Fearless Nadia, Bollywood’s first original stunt-woman still remembered for her fiery role in the movie Hunterwali.

Julia is sent to another place for few days by Rusi along with Jamadar Nawab Malik (Shahid Kapoor) as her guard, during the journey both Malik & Julia falls in love with each other & after returning from back,Rusi finds many thing strange getting to know about the closeness & love of Malik & Julia.

Julia is madly in love with Malik & Malik has his own mission to complete,so will he finish his mission or will he be killed by Rusi is what ends to a dramatic climax of Rangoon.

Both Shahid Kapoor & Kangana rocks from starting till the climax but in the climax its Saif Ali Khan who win your heart & love by his couragous act for the sake of his love.

Music is over all good with not much hit songs but good for the screenplay presented with good timing.

Saif Ali Khan as Rustom “Rusi” Billimoria – At his stylish Rocking best & wins in the climax with superb acts.(4*)
Shahid Kapoor as Jamadar Nawab Malik – Strong, energetic & lovely best in his character with good acting (3.5*)
Kangana Ranaut as Miss Julia – Pretty, gorgeous & at her best in few comic timing & Superb Expressions (3.5*)

Its over all a film with bit boring stretched screen play in between with good performances from all & Vishal Bhardwaj fan might be disappointed by this one so dont expect much.(6/10)
