Naam Shabana Movie Review (3/5*)

Its Action Spy thriller directed by Shivam Nair being the prequel to the 2015 film Baby.

The lead character is played by Taapsee Pannu who plays the character of Shabana.
The film starts with the intro of Shabana who is living with her mother,she has a friend who pick up & drop her to her training classes & is in love with Shabana.
On the birthday of Shabana’s friend they both go out on a date & it just ends up with a tragedy as few bad guys ends up in killing the birthday boy leaving Shabana helpless.

Shabana just wants justice for her love but police are not interested to take any actions for which she gets a call from (Manoj Bajpayee) Ranvir Singh who says that he will lead her to her lover’s killer after which she will do a task given to her as a deal between the two for which Shabana agree & take the revenge.
Shabana gets trained for all situations as her next task is against the most wanted arms supplier (Prithviraj Sukumaran) Tony/Michael for whom the department are searching since 10Yrs.

Shabana gets the support of (Akshay Kumar) Ajay Singh Rajput in a stylish way & superb character.
Both together are on a target to any how get rid of Tony so will they be able to get their task completed with the guidance of Ranvir Singh & Om Prakash Shukla who helps them in technical updates.

This is all what leads to a thrilling action filled climax plot of Naam Shabana.
The only part that will make you bored is the pro interval part as it just keep you bit dragged on the story of Shabana & just pro interval after the entry of Ajay Singh Rajput its just superb second half filled with good actions.

Taapsee Pannu as Shabana Khan – Rocking action packed performance & her best till today (3.5*)
Akshay Kumar as Ajay Singh Rajput – Stylish entry,superb performance at his fittest natural best (4*)
Prithviraj Sukumaran as Tony/Michael – Dangerous cool baddie with lovely personality (3*)
Manoj Bajpayee as Ranvir Singh – Incredible performance with the natural best acts always (4*)
Anupam Kher as Om Prakash Shukla – small sweet role,funny & sweet one (3*)
Danny Denzongpa as Feroz Ali Khan – Head of the task assigned to Ranvir singh,Superb one (3*)
Zakir Hussain as Aseem – Has a small superb role with lovely acting (3*)

Music is over all just ok,not much impressive.

A film you will be inspired by the performance of Taapsee & compared to Baby,its over all not that thrilling as 1st half makes it dull,second half is superb & Akshay Kumar fans will love the film for sure. (7/10*)
