The second edition of the premier Fustal league was announced today but all Indian Football Federation poured water on their plans by refusing to recognise Futsal.

“AIFF reiterates that Premier Futsal is not recognised by the AIFF Constitution, is governed by the federation. The Federation is aloso instructing all its affiliate units not to allow players who are registered with the affiliates to participate in this unauthorized and unofficial Futsal league,” AIFF said in a statement.

AIFF said it plans to start a fustal tournament of their own this year.

“The Federation plans to start its own fustal tournament this year along with its marketing partner, Football Sports development limited (FSDL). In thid regard, the federation has also written to the Asian Football Confederation for support in structuring a National Fustal tournament to be launched this year,”it said.

The second season will now have 15 to 27 matches and will be in three different cities.
